Core Advantages
Efficient & Precise Spot Welding
Benefiting from the repeat positioning accuracy of ±0.05 mm, the robot precisely controls the pressing position, clamping force and power-on time of spot welding electrodes, ensuring uniform nugget size and tensile strength for every welding point. It effectively eliminates inconsistent welding quality caused by manual operating errors. For column-type spot welding robots, once the workpiece is clamped and positioned on tooling, multi-axis linkage enables welding at multi-angle positions, greatly cutting down auxiliary working hours spent on tooling replacement and adjustment.
Flexible Adaptation to Multiple Scenarios
Equipped with 6-degree-of-freedom flexible motion performance and compatible with spot welding guns of various specifications, the robot supports multiple joint types including butt joint, corner joint and lap joint. It can flexibly adjust motion trajectories for dense spot welding of small precision parts as well as multi-angle spot welding of medium-sized workpieces, without frequent equipment replacement or tooling modification.
Highly Consistent Welding Points & Stable Product Quality
Uniform clamping pressure and process parameters are applied to each welding point during robotic welding, delivering outstanding consistency in mass production and drastically reducing defective products. Stable nugget quality lowers rework, waste material and quality inspection workloads, bringing quantifiable quality and cost advantages to the production of body-in-white and sheet metal subassemblies.
Stable Equipment Utilization Rate & Easy Maintenance
The hollow wrist adopts an internal cable routing structure to avoid cable abrasion, guaranteeing stable equipment operation and predictable maintenance cycles.

Working Principle and Process
The core working process of the spot welding robot is as follows:
- Workpiece Positioning and Fixing Operators place the workpieces to be spot-welded on special tooling fixtures. The precise fixation of workpieces is realized via the positioning pins and pressing devices of the fixtures, ensuring that the welding positions are consistent with those set in the robot program.
- Parameter Setting and Program Calling Select the corresponding spot welding program for the workpiece through the teach pendant, and confirm parameters including welding current, power-on duration and electrode pressure. If parameter adjustment is required, modifications and saving can be directly completed on the equipped welding machine control touch screen without rewriting the entire program.
- Automatic Spot Welding Operation After the equipment is started, the robot drives the spot welding gun to move to the first welding position according to program instructions. The welding gun first presses down onto the workpiece surface and applies the preset pressure, then the welding current is switched on to perform energized welding for the set duration and form a nugget. Upon completion of welding, the welding gun releases pressure and lifts up. The robot then moves the welding gun to the next welding position and repeats the above operations until all spot welding tasks are finished.
- Operation Completion and Reset After all spot welding procedures are completed, the robot drives the welding gun back to the home position. After connecting the control cables, the tooling fixture automatically loosens. Operators remove the finished welded workpieces, and the equipment stands by for welding instructions of the next batch of workpieces.
